1. Home Lisbon Hostel
This incredible hostel seems to be unstoppable. It has a 9.8 rating from over 7000 guests reviews, and every years takes home several awards, being not only the best hostel in Portugal, but the best medium hostel in the world!
Home Lisbon Hostel was one of the first hostels in the city, and ever since they opened doors they have been on top, mainly because they focus on the two main things: giving guests a home away from home, and offering and experience instead of just accommodation. No matter how many new hostels open in Lisbon, Home Lisbon Hostel keeps improving and proves times and time again that in order to be the best, a hostel can’t just be a hostel with a few beds to spend the night.
Their common areas are huge, beautifully decorated with a rustic vibe, and their amazing rooms seem difficult to leave in the morning. Still, a free breakfast might just be what you need to get you out of bed, so they give it to you!
Home Lisbon Hostel is also known for the famous Mamma’s Dinner, with home cooked meals that gather all guests together for a memorable night of making friends while eating seriously good food.
Low season prices start around 15€ in a 6 bed mixed dorm. In high season prepare to pay at least 25€ a night. If you are willing to spend a little more money in your accommodation, instead of going for the cheapest place you can find, choosing this hostel will make you want to return to Lisbon, just so you can stay at Home Lisbon Hostel again, and again. What are you waiting for?
